Parking:  Free parking on Olympic Boulevard (not metered on Sundays) and unmetered side streets; two (2) hours free parking across the street at Bed Bath and Beyond; parking in the Westside Towers is $2.55 each 15 minutes with maximum daily amount at $17.85.

About the Speaker:  Karen Jordan is a cum laude graduate of Wellesley College and has a master's degree from Stanford University.  She, along with her mother and sister, is developing a skincare line called EmmGerri with the first product, a body crème, based on a recipe her mother created on their kitchen stove.  A writer for CoStar, Karen is also a former television reporter and has worked as a staff writer at The Tennessean and the Los Angeles Business Journal.  Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Huffington Post, Los Angeles Magazine, LA Weekly and Patch.com as well.  In addition, she has performed as a singer at the Staples Center and the House of Blues Sunset Strip and is writing a book based on the life of her great-grandfather, the first African-American doctor in Coweta County, Georgia.  More info is available at her website at: TheStoryoftheDoctor.com.
